The village of Alton came out in force to celebrate the long awaited return of the carols to the Roundhouse. The White Hart has done a fantastic job over the last few years, and ACE would like to thank them for all their hard work keeping the carols going.
Whilst the donkey may have been MIA this year, the children of St Peter’s school did us proud with a parade of suitably dressed kings, angels and shepherds. Mary and Joseph led the procession down the High Street where, following tradition, Joseph called at the two public houses on the way in search of shelter for the night. After being turned away from both, they went on until they found refuge at the Roundhouse.
The celebrations continued with an offering of free mulled wine, roasted chestnuts and delicious homemade tomato soup made by Sue. The Melody Makers put on a brilliant performance and got the entire crowd singing along to a whole host of traditional carols. Johnnie also kept everyone warm by tending the roaring brazier.

ACE would like to thank everyone that supported, contributed, and helped make these events possible.
