Louie - Chair & Trustee
Marketing & Publicity
Born in East Anglia, I grew up on a haunted farm in the dark depths of Norfolk, where an early encounter with one of its former residents inspired a lifelong curiosity for all that is strange and unexplained. Previously a former holiday maker to the area, in 2021, I literally pursued my dreams by becoming a permanent resident of the village.
Having barely known a soul before I moved, ACE has been a wonderful way for me to feel part of the village, make good use of my design and publicity skills and also give back to the community which has given me so much.

Sue - Secretary &Trustee
I grew up in the village and have spent most of my life here, only disappearing off to enjoy my passion for travelling….but I always come back!
I’ve been organising events forever - from school, to university and then back here in the village, in the local school PTAs, Village Hall Committee and now Alton Community Events Group for the last 11 years - I particularly enjoy ACE events as they’ve really helped to bring together the local community.

My most recent job was as a Village Halls advisor, also helping voluntary groups/charities to set up & run…..now I’m a lady of leisure…or so my family tells me! I don't seem to have much spare time, but when I do, you’ll see me out walking or cycling & enjoying our beautiful area.
Kevin - Treasurer & Trustee

Kevin is a great problem solver and logistics man who also keeps the team’s grammar in check. When he is not keeping an eye on the quality control, he can be found crafting all kinds of wonderful things from wood, including our very own Apple Wanging trophies.
Kevin is not only a keen amateur photographer and active member of Alton Camera Club but he is also part of the planning team for the Pugin After Dark Festival.
Johnnie - Trustee
When he is not ringing the local church bells, Johnnie can be found exploring National Trust properties and gardens nationwide. Johnnie is a keen horticulturist who as well as being chief Apple ID’er at Apple Day also oversees the produce and craft show at Made In Alton-ish.
As well as being green fingered, Johnnie is also passionate about local history and heritage; with a particular interest in Alton Towers and the work of Victorian architect AWN Pugin. Johnnie is also a regular runner with the Alton trail Runners.

Adam - Technical Things
Although I only moved to Alton in 2024, I’ve been a regular visitor and ‘honorary local’ since the early 2000s. After years working all over the UK and occasionally globally in the corporate events world, I wanted to give something back to the community.
I’m Managing Director of a live event production company, so I tend to get involved with the more technical and operational aspects of ACE events alongside helping with the more
regimented tasks such as helping with policies and health and safety!
It’s been a great way to contribute to the local community, meet like-minded people, and help make sure events in Alton continue to thrive.
Lee originally hails from Newcastle, the proper one in the North East as he would say, and is ACE’s chief photographer. You will usually see him at events with one eye closed, and the other focused in a viewfinder.
Lee - Photography
Lee enjoys taking photos digitally as well as with his collection of vintage film cameras. When he is not hunting for Bigfoot, Lee, along with Louie, runs the local Alton Camera Club.
